Ward Tennis Center

The Kim and Craig Ward Tennis Center is home to the men’s and women’s tennis programs. The indoor space includes four hard courts, a climate-controlled spectator area on the second floor, coaches offices, and a full-service pro shop. The outdoor area offers six hard courts and a covered spectator seating area. Both venues are available for year-round community use. Opened in 1991, the facility originally was named the Heflin Tennis Center in honor of Johnny, Sharon, Jay and Marc Heflin, dedicated supporters of Ouachita Tennis. Jay and Marc both played were members of the Tiger tennis team. The Heflins renamed the facility in 2014 in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Wards coming to Ouachita. Craig led the men's tennis team to 11 conference championships, 20 NCAA national tournament appearances, eight top 10 finishes in the nation, and 472 wins from 1990-2024. Kim was alongside Craig for that tenure, and also served as the manager of the tennis center.
