Ouachita Baptist University Athletics

Bill Vining, Jr. excelled in both basketball and football as an athlete.

Following a high school career in Arkadelphia that featured all-state honors in both football and basketball, Vining, Jr. went on to play for his father, Vining, Sr. at Ouachita, starting most of the last three seasons. He was honorable mention All-AIC twice in basketball. In football, he led the AIC in passing in 1974 and 1975, earning All-AIC honors in both seasons.
