ARKADELPHIA, AR- The Ouachita Baptist volleyball team (18-12, 9-7 GAC) hosted the Unversity of Arkansas-Monticello Cotton Blossoms (7-22, 4-12 GAC) on Thursday night, marking their last home game of the season as well as their last regular season game of the year. The Lady Tigers celebrated senior night for seniors

Kristyn Howk and
Libby Harrington and helped them to finish their last home game with a 3-0 rout of the Cotton Blossoms.
The Lady Tigers were played close in the first set, prevailing by a score of 26-24, but they held complete control for the rest of the match, winning the second set by a score of 25-20 and the third set by a score of 25-14.
The Lady Tigers were led by a number of players, as junior
Faith Avalos collected 10 kills, junior
Megan Askew recorded nine of her own and Howk added seven to the Lady Tigers totals. Harrington also finished the game with six kills. Avalos led the Lady Tigers in hitting percentage, finishing with .600 while Hegi finished with .500 and Howk and Askew both finished with .182. Hegi collected 34 of Ouachita's 37 assists, while the dig numbers were evenly spread throughout the team. Junior
Allison Frizzell finished with a team high 11 digs while junior
Jillian Jeffcoat and Howk both added 10 of their own. Harrington led the block category for Ouachita, finishing with two block assists and two solo blocks while Askew added three block assists and sophomore
Kelsi Bodine added a block assist of her own.
The Cotton Blossoms were led by Amy Kleypas, who led the team in kills and digs with 12 in both categories. Amy Bazemore led UAM in assists, finishing with 30, while Bailie Jedlicka added seven kills.
The Lady Tigers will return to action on Friday November 11, when they participate in the inaugural Great American Conference tournament in Russellville, Arkansas. The Lady Tigers will be facing off against East Central University at 7:30 p.m. If the Lady Tigers come away with a victory, they will face the winner of Arkansas Tech and Arkansas-Monticello.
