ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- As cross-town rival Henderson State (11-5, 4-2) came to Bill Vining on Monday, there was a lot of excitement in the air for the Ouachita Lady Tigers (11-5, 4-2 GAC) and they left it all on the floor. Henderson came into the game at the top of the Great American Conference standings, with the Lady Tigers looking to even things up and put themselves in a good position for the rest of conference play. Ouachita came out and did not disappoint their fans, taking an impressive 89-57 win over the Lady Reddies.

Nashia James, who continued her run of impressive offensive performances, finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Senior
Domino Miller stepped up big when her team needed a boost, posting a 14 point performance while also recording a team high five assists. Senior
A'Laeshia Adams finished the game with 13 points for Ouachita while sophomore
Elise Holman posted 10 points of her own. Ouachita shot an impressive 45 percent from the floor in the contest.
Henderson State's Aungelique Sledge and Krystal Beachum led the team, both collecting 11 points in the contest. Crystal Harrison added eight of her own for the Lady Reddies. Destiny Smith recorded a game high 10 rebounds while Beachum recorded a team high two assists. Henderson only shot 30.5 percent from the floor in the game while being forced to turn the ball over a total of 20 times by a stingy defense from the Lady Tigers.
Ouachita ran away with the rebounding category, collecting 52 during the game while Henderson only collected 34 of their own. Ouachita also shot an impressive 75 percent from the free throw line, sinking 22 of their 29 attempts.
The Lady Tigers continue conference play on Thursday night, when they travel to Russellville, Arkansas to face off with nationally ranked Arkansas Tech. Tech is currently on a three game losing streak after suffering a loss to Harding on Monday evening. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
