Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- It was a tough day for the Ouachita Lady TIger (7-5, 1-4GAC) defense on Friday, as they saw 21 shots from Southern Nazarene (7-4-1, 3-2-1 GAC), 10 of which were on goal.
Shelby Shepherd, who handled goalkeeping duties for Ouachita, posted an amazing performance, recording nine saves, but it wasn't enough to capture the victory, as a late goal sealed a 1-0 victory for the visiting Crimson Storm.
The only goal of the game came at the 79:34 mark of the game, when Southern Nazarene's Mallary Schaub scored off of a cross from Bekah Stewart.
Ouachita had a hard time getting anything going offensively, as they were only allowed five shot attempts throughout the entirety of the game. Only three of those attempts were on goal and none resulted in a goal.
Southern Nazarene had 10 different players attempt shots on the day, only one of which mattered in the end.
Yoli Zamarippa was in goal for the Crimson Storm, recording three saves on the day. Shepherd was all over the place, notching nine saves in the 90 minute game.
Ouachita will return to action on Sunday, when they host East Central University for their last home game of the year. They will follow that with a three game road swing to finish off the season. Sunday's game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
