Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The Ouachita Lady Tigers (5-14, 2-6 GAC) captured a win in the first set of their Saturday match-up with Southwestern Oklahoma (6-16, 4-2 GAC), but they were unable to carry the momentum into the next three sets, as they fell by a score of 3-1 to the visiting Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Tigers took a 26-24 victory in the first set before falling by a score of 25-21 in the second set. The Lady Bulldogs took the lead early in the third set and never relinquished it, going up 2-1 with a score of 25-18. The fourth set of the match was eerily similar to the third, as the Lady Bulldogs again posted a 25-18 victory.
Allison Frizzell did everything she could defensively, recording 18 digs.
Megan Askew and
Keely Howk both added 11 digs.
Abby Pickett was an offensive force, posting 13 kills. Howk had a good day on the offensive side of things as well, recording 10 kills of her own.
The Lady Tigers were hampered by errors in the game, with five ball handling errors, 24 attack errors and six service errors.
Southwestern's Alison Cole was a force on the attack, recording 19 kills and only committing four errors.
Ouachita will return to action on October 16, when they travel across the street to Henderson State for the first installment of the Battle of the Ravine rivalry. That match will begin at 7 p.m.
