Box Score WEATHERFORD, Okla.- The Ouachita Lady Tigers (9-7-1, 4-5-1 GAC) closed out their regular season on Sunday, when they traveled to Weatherford, Oklahoma for a battle against the No. 19 Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma (17-0-1, 9-0-1). Ouachita fell by a score of 4-2 to the Bulldogs, with SWOSU's Josie Price scoring two of the team's four goals and Ouachita's
Lauren Hatch notching two goals as well.
Ouachita jumped out quick, taking a 1-0 lead at the 9:14 mark of the game, when Hatch scored off of an assist from
Morgan Pitchford. Southwestern didn't take long to answer though, scoring at the 20:22 mark of the game when Southwestern's Natalie Crosslin scored following a cross.
The Lady Tigers took just six minutes to take the lead again though, when Hatch scored at the 26:31 mark from mid-field.
Southwestern showed Ouachita why they hadn't taken a loss all year long though, recording three straight goals to close out the game, including Price's pair of goals in the second half.
Shelby Shepherd recorded nine saves in the net for the Lady Tigers, while Cory LeMoureaux recorded three for the Bulldogs.
The loss closes out the regular season for the Lady Tigers, however, they will have a shot at the GAC Postseason Championship when they compete in the GAC Tournament. Dates and locations for the tournament have not yet been announced.
