Box Score BETHANY, Okla.- The Ouachita Lady Tigers (5-1) stretched their win streak to five early in the season, as they traveled to Bethany, Oklahoma on Friday night and downed Southern Nazarene by a score of 2-1.
The Lady Tigers got on the board first in the game, as
Morgan Allen was able to come up with a rebound from the Southern Nazarene goalkeeper, which she took advantage of, at the 39 minute mark of the game.
Southern Nazarene wasn't going to go down easily though, as they answered the Ouachita goal in the 65 minute of the game, when Kendra Nixon evened things up.
Ouachita put the game away late though, when
Sarah Broyles scored in the 72 minute from about 20 yards out. Broyles' goal helped extend Ouachita's win streak to five as they head into their first conference game against East Central.
Ouachita's match-up with East Central doesn't allow them much time to rest either, as they face off against the opposing Lady Tigers on Sunday in Ada, Oklahoma. That game will begin at 4 p.m.
