Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- In what was a back and forth contest, the Ouachita Lady Tigers (5-3, 1-2 GAC) dropped their home conference contest against Harding (4-3-1, 2-0-1 GAC) on Friday afternoon. Ouachita took an early 1-0 lead, but gave up a goal to the Lady Bisons in the second half, sending the game into overtime. Harding capitalized on the chance for extra time, scoring just about five minutes into the extra period and walking away with the victory by a score of 2-1.
Ouachita's goal came at the 26 minute mark of the game, when
Sarah Broyles netted her second goal of the season off of an assist from
Lauren Hatch.
Harding's first goal of the game came early in the second half, as Larkin Hatcher netted a ball in the left corner of the net, tying the game.
Audrey Adkison sealed the win for the Lady Bisons, scoring at the 94 minute mark of the contest for her second goal of the 2012 season.
Ouachita's
Shelby Shepherd was solid in the net for the Lady Tigers, recording four saves in the contest. Ouachita took 13 shots in the game, five of which were on goal.
Jessica Allen had three shots on goal in the contest, including a couple of shots that came very close to scoring.
Ouachita returns to action next Friday, October 5, when they host Northwestern Oklahoma State. That game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
