DENTON, Tex.- After suffering a tough loss in their first match-up of the season, the Lady Tiger soccer team (1-1) rebounded with a victory over Texas Woman's University on Monday. The Lady Tigers recorded the 1-0 victory, after
Taylor Gay netted a shot at the 83 minute mark, negating the need for an overtime period.
Ouachita's
Shelby Shepherd had a fantastic day in the net, recording nine saves in the contest while not allowing a single goal. As previously mentioned, Gay was the lone goal scorer for the Lady Tigers, finishing the game with two shots on goal, including the game winner late in the contest.

Sarah McKimmey all attempted shots for Ouachita, none of which were on goal.
Texas Woman's Lindsay Sisco took goalkeeping duties, recording one save. A number of players took shots for the team, including nine shots on goal, but it was not to be, as Shepherd seemed to have their number.
The Lady Tigers don't have much time to recover, as they return to action on Tuesday, when they host their home-opener against Hendrix College at 3:30 p.m.
