Tigers Win Fourth Straight Conference Match, Improve Their Record To 14-7 Overall

Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers' volleyball team notched their fourth straight conference win tonight over Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-1 (25-22, 11-25, 25-22, 25-20). The Tigers are now 12-7 on the season and 6-4 in Great American Conference play.

The Tigers struggled offensively at times, committing a total of 25 attack errors in the match. Their defense however, was strong and kept them ahead for most of their three set wins. Four Tigers ended play with double digits in digs. The Tigers also had seven blocks as a team.

After dropping the second set to the Savage Storm 11-25, Ouachita was able to regroup and win the next two sets to close out the match.

Junior Kelley Ballard led the Tigers with 10 kills. She provided a defensive spark in set three when she recorded a solo block and a block assist.

Sophomore Abby Pickett had nine kills and led the Tigers with 33 total attacks. She was a presence at the net both offensively and defensively throughout the night.  

Freshmen Jayme Shell and Stephanie Pollnow had eight each. Shell led the team with 18 digs. Pollnow recorded two service aces and two blocks.  

Junior Tara Wait led the Tigers with 41 assists and recorded a double-double  with her 14 digs.

Senior Kelsi Bodine provided a big lift off the bench offensively in sets three and four and finished the night with seven kills. She had an attack percentage of .307 in the final two sets of the match.

Freshman Anna Holcomb had 17 digs on the night, her highest total since the first match of the season where she recorded 21.

For Southeastern, Emily Gentle led the Savage Storm with 16 kills. Madelynne Cera had 36 assists. Taylior Benner had 26 digs.
