Conference Basketball Starts For Both Ouachita Teams Tonight In Ada, Okla.

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams open conference play tonight in Ada, Okla. where they'll face GAC foe, East Central University. Last year, both Tiger teams split their regular season matchups with ECU.

The 0-2 Lady Tigers are looking for their first win of the season. So far they've been outscored by a margin of 14.5 points per game, due largely in part by allowing their opponents to shoot .518%. Nashia James leads the Lady Tigers in scoring, averaging 14 points per game, and rebounding with seven per game.

East Central will look to their two senior forwards Ashley Robinson and Alycea Price to lead their offense. The duo are averaging a combined 28.6 points per game. The Lady Tigers will need to get stops in the paint and keep the two forwards in check.

The 2-2 Tigers are looking to rebound after a tough weekend in Fort Smith where they went 0-2 in the Fort Smith Classic. The Tigers are averaging 93.2 points per game and have an average margin of victory of 13.4 points per game.

Junior forward Colt Fason is averaging 19 points and 9 rebounds per game. Micah Delph is dropping seven assists per game and his 1.8 steals per game leads a group of five Tigers averaging over one steal per game.

East Central is led by senior guard Colby Carr. Carr is averaging 18.7 points per game for 1-2 East Central. ECU is only averaging 68.3 points per game and is allowing opponents to score an average of 73.3 points per contest.
