Tigers fall to 3-3 in conference play

Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Coming off a 5-3 conference win over Harding University, the Ouachita Baptist Tigers fell 6-1 to the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Rangers recorded the first goal of the match in the 15th minute. Northwestern added three more goals later in the half, giving the Rangers a 4-0 at halftime. Despite 10 shots in the first half, the Tigers could not register a goal.
 
In the second half, the Rangers continued their offensive showcase, scoring two more goals. In the 85th minute, the Tigers scored their first goal of the match, but it was not enough, as the match ended five minutes later with the Rangers on top 6-1.
 
Leidiane Capobianco and Jade Nash each netted two goals for Northwestern, while Jessica Lynch assisted on four of the Rangers' goals.
 
The Tigers attempted a total of 20 shots, 12 on target. Ouachita's Lauren Llanes spent all 90 minutes at keeper and recorded a career-high 14 saves.
 
The Tigers (4-9-1, 3-3-0 GAC) will travel to Weatherford, Okla. on Saturday for a match against Southwestern Oklahoma State. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
