The Tigers called an early timeout in set one after falling behind 5-1 Ouachita worked their back within one twice in the set, 7-6 and 14-13, with strong defensive play at the net from their middles, but were unable to generate a consistent offense, falling behind in kills 15-6 by the end of the first set. Ouachita dropped set one 25-16.
Ouachita once again went down early in set two, but battled back and took the lead 6-5 on a kill by
Anna LeTourneau. The Tigers stayed within one or two points, but a 7-3 run by Harding would hold off any hopes of a Ouachita win in set two.
In set three, the Lady Bisons jumped out to an 11-0 lead, before Ouachita scored its first point of the set on a kill by
Kori Bullard. The Tigers cut the lead to six, 16-10 with very scrappy play by the back line. ,Harding would respond with a 5-1 run to extend their lead to 21-11. The Tigers would fall in set three, 25-13.
For Ouachita,
Kori Bullard led with seven kills.
Anna LeTourneau had 17 assists and 15 digs for her first career double-double.
Ashley Wake finished with 14 digs.
The Tigers (10-5, 3-4) travel to Monticello on Thursday, October 9, to take on Arkansas Monticello.,
