Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Lady Tigers grabbed a 22-point win on Tuesday, defeating the Central Baptist College Lady Mustangs 73-51. Katie Kapler led all scorers with 16 points on 6-6 shooting from the field.
After a CBC layup to begin the game, Kapler tied the game at two on the next possession. The basket sparked a 9-0 run, and the Lady Mustangs never pulled within five points for the rest of the half.
The Tigers grabbed their largest lead of the half with 41 seconds remaining when Kori Bullard's layup put Ouachita ahead 42-20.
In the first half, Ouachita posted a field goal percentage of 53.1 percent. The Lady Tigers forced nine turnovers in the half, resulting in 15 points off turnovers. The Lady Tigers also dominated inside, outscoring Central Baptist 26-4 on points in the paint.
Ouachita lead by at least 17 throughout the entire second half. The Lady Tigers' largest lead of the half came with 18:26 to play on a layup by Ashley Johnson.
The Lady Tigers recorded 10 second chance points on 12 offensive rebounds in the second half and added 20 bench points.
For the game, Ouachita posted a field goal percentage of 43.1 percent while holding CBC to 28.8 percent.
Kapler finished the game with 16 points and never missed a shot, including five two-pointers, one three-pointer and three free-throws. Breanna Harris followed Kapler with nine points, and Jasmine Cashaw and Kori Bullard led the Lady Tigers with five rebounds each.
The Lady Tigers (3-2) will travel to Wichita, Texas on Sunday, Nov. 30, for a game against Midwestern State University. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
