Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Despite being outshot 19-5, the Ouachita Tigers women's soccer team earned a 2-1 overtime win over East Central University to lock up the number-three seed in the Great American Conference Championship Tournament.
Haley Hatcher scored both goals for Ouachita, giving her a GAC-best 17 for the season.
Ouachita (6-11-1, 5-5) struck first at the 20:13 mark of the first half when Hatcher received a cross from the left side by senior
Abby Emanuel. Hatcher beat her defender on the touch and drilled the ball into the back of the net to give Ouachita a 1-0 lead. It was Emanuel's first assist of the season, giving her six for her career, to go along with five career goals.
East Central (7-8-2, 4-5-1) answered with just over 10 minutes remaining in the first half. ECU's Taylor Graves knocked one in from outside the box on the left side to tie it up 1-1.
Ouachita held ECU scoreless in the second half, thanks to eight saves in the period by Ouachita keeper
Lauren Llanes. ECU had 11 shots in the second period, while Ouachita could not get a shot on goal. Heading into overtime, Ouachita had managed only three shots on goal, all coming in the first.
With 4:19 gone in the first overtime period, Ouachita's
Haley Hatcher was fouled in the box by ECU's Margaret Glutz. Hatcher would strike true on the penalty kick and give Ouachita the 2-1 win. The goal gave Hatcher 17 on the season, tying her for third overall in Division-II for goals scored this season.

Megan Clay were honored prior to the match. Clay finished her career at Oauchita with three goals and three assists.Â
The victory gives Ouachita the three seed in the conference tournament, where they face the two-seeded Harding Lady Bisons on Friday, Nov. 7, at 11:00 a.m. The tournament will be hosted by Southern Nazarene at the Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex in Bethany, Oklahoma. Â
