Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Lady Tigers moved to 0-3 in Great American Conference play on Saturday, losing 69-59 to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Cotton Blossoms. Jordan Goforth led UAM with 26 points.
 
The Cottom Blossoms (4-4, 3-2 GAC) controlled the first half from the opening tipoff, scoring 13 unanswered points to start the game. With 9:07 left in the half, however, the Lady Tigers began a 10-4 run that lasted until halftime, bringing score to 26-22 in favor of UAM.
 
Katie Kapler led Ouachita with seven points in the half, and Alexis Sharp and Ashley Johnson each grabbed a team-high six rebounds. The Lady Tigers posted a first-half shooting percentage of only 25 percent from the field but held the Cotton Blossoms to only 29 percent from the field.
 
UAM held the lead in the entire second half but never led by more than 11. A slow 16-6 run by the Lady Tigers brought to score within one point with 4:26 left to play. Taylor Bowles, Kori Bullard and Breanna Harris led the charge, as each scored four points during the run.
 
The Cotton Blossoms answered with a run of their own, however, and claimed an 11-point lead before eventually winning by 10.
 
UAM relied on three-point shooting in the game, as the Cotton Blossoms were 56.3 percent from behind the arc. They finished the game with a total field goal percentage of 41.4 percent.
 
Ouachita held a 36 percent field goal percentage, while knocking down 72 percent of its free-throws. The Lady Tigers out-rebounded the Cotton Blossoms 40-31 and had 14 more points from their bench.
 
Kapler finished with a team-high 13 points on the night, while Bowles followed with 12. Bullard led Ouachita with seven rebounds, and she also added seven points.
 
The Lady Tigers (3-6, 0-3 GAC) will host Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Saturday, Dec. 20. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
