ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers earned their fifth consecutive win and third straight shutout on Saturday, defeating the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers 3-0. Haley led the charge with her 12
th and 13
th goals of the 2015 season.
In the first half, both teams were held scoreless despite dominant offensive play from the Tigers. Ouachita took the first 12 shots of the match, and the Tigers finished the period with a total 19 shots. Northwestern Oklahoma State (2-13-1, 0-10 GAC) was held to only three shots in the half, one coming on goal.
Ouachita (9-6, 7-2, GAC) took its first lead of the contest just over ten minutes into the second half, when Hatcher scored on an assist from
Marley Zochert. Zochert found Hatcher on a through pass, giving Hatcher a one-on-one opportunity with NWOSU's keeper.
Bryson Thomas gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead less than five minutes later with her third goal of the season.
Dina Harper picked up the assist, as she crossed the ball in the air from the left side of the field, allowing Thomas to head the ball passed the keeper.
In the 65
th minute, just over four minutes since Ouachita's second goal, Hatcher found the back of the net again on a shot from 12 yards out. The ball was placed in the box on a cross before
Morgan Allen found Hatcher and picked up the assist. All three goals for the Tigers came within a 10-minute period.
For the final 25 minutes of the match, the Rangers were held scoreless, and Ouachita earned the victory.
The Tigers finished the match with a total of 30 shots while limiting the Rangers to only seven. Ouachita had 14 shots on goal, including nine from Hatcher. Hatcher attempted more shots in the 90-minute match (15) than the entire Northwestern Oklahoma State team.
During the five-game winning streak for Ouachita, Hatcher has scored in every match and has eight goals. Her 13 goals on the season rank her second in the conference, and Hatcher leads the GAC in shots per game

Morgan Allen each took three shots in the match, and Thomas and
Kasey Smith followed with two each. 28 different players entered the match for the Tigers, with
Lauren Llanes being the only player to play all 90 minutes. Llanes spent the entire match at keeper for Ouachita and recorded two saves.
The Tigers have clinched a spot in the Great American Conference Tournament and are currently ranked second. Ouachita will host Harding University in the final home game of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The senior-day match is scheduled for 3 p.m.
