1940 Recap Definitely marked as the underdogs, Ouachita's tigers dominated every department of play to completely sweep O.B.U.'s Bisons off the field to the tune of 21 to 0. After playing on equal terms for the first 15 minutes, the Purple and Gold found their bearings in the second quarter as Baxter, Tiger fullback, crashed over the goal from the two-yard line. LaFitte and Moore registered the other touchdowns, and Charlie Taylor split the uprights with three conversions. Bison powers attacks threatened the Tigers goal line on several occasions but in each instance they were thrown back by the valiant Ouachita forward wall. –
