ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Lady Tigers dropped to 3-6 after a tough 70-51 home loss to Arkansas-Fort Smith. The Lady Tigers could not find their groove from long distance, making only one three-pointer in 24 attempts.
Alexis Sharp scored 10 points and pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Katie Kapler finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Ouachita shot 26 percent from the floor in the first half. Despite the poor shooting percentage, Ouachita stayed aggressive, following their misses and grabbing eight first-half offensive rebounds. The Lady Tiger scored eight second-chance points. Arkansas-Fort Smith capitalized off 15 first-half turnovers by Ouachita and converting them into 14 points.
The Lady Tigers faced a full court press for most of the game and in the second half, they ran straight at it. The Lady Tigers aggressiveness created opportunities at the foul line. Ouachita shot 72 percent from the charity stripe, making 13 of 18 attempts.Ouachita pulled down another eighth offensive rebounds in the second half, including three by point guard

The Lady Tigers will host Blue Mountain College on December 30 at Bill Vining Arena. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
