ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 match versus the 19th-ranked Bucs of Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee on Tuesday night. The Tigers allowed two second-half goals after taking a 1-0 lead in the first half. The Tigers are now 1-1 on the season.
Ouachita took a 1-0 lead at the 34:52 mark of the first half, on a goal by sophomore forward
Marcellus Hill. It was Hill's first goal of the season. Freshman
Colten Clark was credited with the assist. Tiger keeper
Ben O'Brien stopped the Bucs only shot on goal in the first half.
After allowing a goal in the early part of the second half, O'Brien registered two more saves, before the Bucs scored the game-winning goal with just over 12 minutes left to play. The Tigers were outshot 12-4, but managed to keep the game close by forcing the Bucs to take difficult shots.
Ouachita returns home this Friday (9/11) to Kluck Field, where they will host Rogers State University. Match time is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. Â
