RiverHawks hand Tigers first loss

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – After defeating the Rogers State University Hillcats 6-0 in the 2015 women's soccer season opener, the Ouachita Baptist University Tigers fell 5-0 to the Northeastern State University RiverHawks on Tuesday.
 
Northeastern State's (3-0) Anastasia Robinson netted the first goal of the match in the ninth minute, and Melissa Giles scored just eight minutes later to put the RiverHawks ahead 2-0. Northeastern State dominated the second half, as well, scoring three goals. Robinson finished with two for the match.
 
The Tigers struggled to maintain possession of the ball on the offensive side of the field, as Ouachita attempted only eight shots on the day. Haley Hatcher recorded three shots, including one on goal. Alyssa Aguilar added two shots and one on goal.
 
Lauren Llanes spent all 90 minutes at keeper for Ouachita, and she picked up 11 saves.
 
The Tigers (1-1) will host Mississippi College on Sunday, Sept. 13. The match will be played at Wesley and Debbie Kluck Field and is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
