ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' volleyball team won their third straight match with a 3-1 win over East Central University in Ada, Okla. The Tigers improved to 14-5 overall and 6-3 in conference play.
Kori Bullard led the Tigers with 15 kills and
Stormi Leonard finished with 45 assists and 21 digs.
After dropping set one 15-26, the Tigers won the next three sets, 25-22, 25-11, 25-23, to take the match.
Kori Bullard and
Tabatha Huckabee each hit.333 in the second set. Huckabee led the Tigers with six kills in the set. Ouachita hit .385 in the third set, getting 11 kills on 26 attacks with only one attack error. Bullard led the Tigers with four kills and three solo blocks in the set.
The Tigers went on the defensive in the fourth set. Leonard and
Ashley Wake registered double digits in digs finishing the set with 1o and 11 digs respectively. Huckabee and
Adrianna Nolly finished the final set with three blocks each. The win over East Central marks the second straight match were the Tigers erased a 1-0 deficit after the first set to win the match in four.Â
The Tigers next match will be at home on Friday, October 21 versus Northwestern Oklahoma State. The match is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
