ARKADELPHIA, Ark. –The Ouachita Tigers' men's soccer team defeated Harding at home by a final score of 2-0. The Tigers scored twice in the first half and held the lead for the remainder of the game. Ouachita's record now stands at 8-7 overall and 3-3 in the Great American Conference. Ouachita's win clinches the second seed in next week's GAC Championsip. 
 
Gideon Onguti opened the scoring for the Tigers in the 35th minute. Onguti took a pass from 
Colten Clark and slotted the ball into the bottom-right corner of the net. The second goal came only four minutes later in the 39th minute. 
Dylan Tritton made his second goal of the season after receiving a through pass from 
Sewell Yost. The Tigers held the lead for the remainder of the game.
 
Ouachita had 12 shots in the game, six of which were on target. 
Tinashe Chigede led the Tigers with three shots, while 
Blaine Hickman and 
Dylan Tritton had two shots each. Defensively, goalkeeper 
Nelson Pacheco made three saves and kept a clean sheet.
 
The Tigers next game will be played on Oct. 28 against Mississippi College. Kick-off will be at 3 p.m. at Kluck Field.
