ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' volleyball team improved to 19-6 on the season with a 3-1 win over cross-street rival Henderson State.
Kori Bullard led the Tigers with nine kills, while middle
Caitlin Cantrell recorded five blocks in the match. Libero
Ashley Wake finished with 17 digs.
The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead by taking the first two sets, 26-24 and 25-23. After dropping the third set 14-25, Ouachita rebounded in the fourth and final set, taking it by a final of 25-21. Despite finishing with an attack percentage of .098 for the match, the Tigers were able to capitalize on 36 Reddie attack errors. Defensively, the Tigers were dominate at the net, finishing with 16 blocks.
The Tigers will face Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday, Nov. 3 on their home court at the Sturgis Center. That match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
