ARAKDELPHIA, Ark. –The Ouachita Tigers' men's soccer team lost the Great American Conference tournament semifinal game to Harding by a final score of 2-0 in Shawnee, Okla. Harding's two second half goals were enough to send them to the final. The Tigers finished the season with a 10-8 record.
Neither team scored in the first half, however Harding came out firing in the second. Jeremy Nwonumah scored Harding's first goal in the 52nd minute. Harding's second goal came late in the game. Matheus Ribeiro scored in the 84th minute to seal the win for the Bison. Despite 13 shots in the game, Ouachita was unable to score a goal.
Ouachita was led offensively by
Joey Zerbo, who had three shots.
Sewell Yost,
Dylan Tritton, and
Colten Clark put up two shots a piece. Defensively, Ouachita was led by goalkeeper
Nelson Pacheco, who had four saves.
This loss means that the Tigers' season is now over.
