RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - The Lady Tigers traveled to Russellville on Thursday night to face the unbeaten Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech. Despite 16 points from
Breanna Harris and a solid nine-point performance of the bench by
Bria Caldwell, the Lady Tigers fell, 93-52.
Kori Bullard got the Lady Tigers on the board a game-opening three.
Breanna Harris followed with a three of her own to make it a 6-2 game. Two possessions later, Harris would score on a back-door cut to give the Lady Tigers an 8-7 with 6:23 remaining in the first half.
Ouachita would fall behind after going 0-6 on their next six possessions. Back-to-back layups by
Katie Kapler broke the Lady Tigers scoring drought to bring the Lady Tigers within three. The Golden Suns would make seven of their next 10 shots to extend their lead and head to halftime leading the Lady Tigers 48-30.
Harris led the Lady Tigers at the half with nine points.
Katie Kapler finished the half with seven points and Bullard and
Bria Caldwell each had five points.
Just like the first half, the Lady Tigers opened scoring in the second half with a three. This time coming from Harris, her second of the game. The Lady Tigers were held to 13 third-quarter points and entered the fourth quarter trailing 70-43.
The Lady Tigers would fall by a final of 93-52.
Breanna Harris finished with 16 points and five rebounds, leading the Lady Tigers in both categories.
Katie Kapler finished with 12 points.
Kori Bullard finished with seven points, five rebounds and four assists, the most by any Lady Tiger.
Bria Caldwell led the bench with nine points on 3-4 shooting, including one three.
