BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Sarah Johnson hit a two-out walkoff homerun in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Ouachita Tigers a 3-2 win over Rockhurst University. The win was the Tigers sixth of the year and their third in their final game at the UAM 8-State Classic.

After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the third inning, Ouachita responded in the bottom half with a run of their own. After reaching first and stealing second, Kelly Powell scored the Tigers first run on an error by the Rockhurst shortstop.

The game remained tied at 1-1 until the bottom of the sixth inning. With two outs, Kate Lacina connected with a solo blast over the left field wall, giving Ouachita a 2-1 lead. It was Lacina's first homerun of the year.

Rockhurst evened the game at 2-2 in the top of the seventh inning on a two-out RBI double. The Tigers were unable to score in the bottom of the seventh. Sending the game into extra innings.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Sarah Johnson hit one over the center field wall to give the Tigers a 3-2 win and improve their overall record to 6-2. It was Johnson's first homerun of the year.

Macy Nantz earned her fourth win of the season in as many starts. Nantz went all eight innings, scattering seven hits and allowing two runs, one earned. She struck out five and walked one.

Emily Acuna and Powell each had a pair of hits and a stolen base.
