ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - After scoring 15 runs in their first three games, the Tigers were held to only three hits and no runs in a 9-0 loss to Mississippi College. The loss in the finale of the Ronnie Hawkins Invitational put the Tigers at 3-1 to start their 2016 season.
Sarah Johnson singled to center in the bottom of the first, the first for the Tigers in the finale. Johnson finished the weekend with six hits and a .429 average. The Tigers got a pair of hits in the bottom of the fifth. KJ Keeley singled to right, giving her three hits in five at bats over the weekend. Keeley also drive in three runs, tying her with
Emily Acuna for the team lead in RBI.
Halley Ryburn got the Tigers third hit of the game, her first as a Ouachita Tiger.
Ouachita finished the weekend with six players hitting over .300 and four with a batting average over .400. In the field,
Alex Jennings led all Tigers with 10 assists. She also had four putouts and a perfect fielding percentage on 14 chances for the weekend, Jennings and
Suzie Gresham led te Tigers with two stolen bases each.  Â
Macy Nantz earned two wins and recorded 17 strikeouts in her two starts. She currently has an ERA of 1.50 and hed opponents to a .263 average.Â
