ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers men's soccer team defeated Upper Iowa University in double overtime on Thursday night by a final of 2-1.
Tinashe Chigede scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick at the start of the second overtime period.
After falling behind 1-0 in the second period, the Tigers tied it up 1-1 on a shot by
Tinashe Chigede in the 82nd minute. Chigede scored off the assist from
Dylan Tritton.
In the 102nd minute, Chigede was awarded a penalty kick and he made good on the try to give the Tigers their fourth win of the season.
The 4-1 Tigers will face Lindenwood University on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 2:30 p.m.
