ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers men's soccer team lost by a final of 2-1 in double overtime to Lindenwood University on Saturday in St. Charles, Mo. Lindenwood scored with just forty seconds remaining in the second overtime period. Ouachita's
Tinashe Chigede scored his fourth goal of the season in the loss.
Lindenwood scored their first goal just passed the first minute of the game when a save from
Nelson Pacheco rebounded back out to a Lindenwood player who put the ball in the net. Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Chigede received a pass from
Sewell Yost above the center of the box and scored from 24 yards out.
With just forty seconds to go in the second overtime period, Lindenwood scored the game winner off a header in the box.
The 4-2 Tigers will open conference play on Sept. 22 versus Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla.
