ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers women's soccer team opened the 2016 season versus Emporia State University at Kluck Field on Friday. The two teams locked up for a 110 minute battle that ended in 0-0 tie.

Erin Webster recorded eight saves in the game, including two in overtime. Nine different Tigers accounted for the teams ten shots,
Bryson Thomas was the only Tiger to get off multiple shots.
Play became physical late as both teams were fighting to break the scoreless tie. In the final 30 minutes of play, including the two ten minute overtime periods, five yellow cards and one red card were issued.
The Tigers return to action versus Missouri Western State at Kluck Field on Sunday, September 4 at 1:30 p.m.
