ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Despite rallying back from a one-set deficit, the Ouachita Tigers volleyball team could not hold the momentum for the remainder of the match. They suffered their first loss of the season to Alabama-Huntsville, 3-1.
Down 1-0. the Tigers took set two by a score of 25-19. The Tigers finished the set with a .353 attack percentage. With the second set tied 13-13, Ouachita cosed it out with a 12-6 run, powered by three kills from senior
Jayme Shell.
The Ouachita attack was led by freshman
Adrianna Nolly with 12 kills and 10 kills from junior middle
Kori Bullard. Nolly and Bullard also led the team with three blocks. Setter
Stormi Leonard posted her third straight double-double with 36 assists and 11 digs.
The Tigers return to Arkadelphia for their home opener on Tuesday night, September 5. Ouachita faces off against Williams Baptist at 6:00 p.m.
