BETHANY, Okla. – The Ouachita Baptist women's soccer team (3-8-1, 3-4 GAC) fell 2-1 Thursday afternoon at Southern Nazarene (3-9, 1-5 GAC). The loss evened the season series, as the Tigers defeated the Crimson Storm 4-1 earlier this season.
Ouachita closed out the conference match with 25 total shots, placing eight on goal. Southern Nazarene finished with 21 shots and 13 on goal. Tiger keeper
Erin Webster was able to save 11 of the 13 shots on goal, increasing her season total to 88 saves.
Tori Stratton initially put the Tigers in front with her first goal of the season during the 31
st minute of play. However, Southern Nazarene placed two shots in the back of the net during the second half to come away with the victory.
Ouachita will close out its two-game road trip at Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday, Oct. 14. The conference match is set to kickoff at 1 p.m. in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
