ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Baptist volleyball team (12-8, 5-4 GAC) took its second straight conference match Saturday, defeating Southeastern Oklahoma State (6-17, 2-7 GAC) in three sets – 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.
Kori Bullard again led the way for Ouachita with 10 kills on the afternoon, inching closer to 1000 career kills. Bullard also closed out the match with six blocks, to lead all players.
Paige Williams and
Tabatha Huckabee finished the match with nine and eight kills, respectively. Williams also recorded 16 digs while Huckabee gathered two blocks.
Stormi Leonard led the way for Ouachita in assists with 29.
As a team, the Tigers accumulated 39 kills on a .207 hitting percentage and held the Savage Storm to a .081 hitting percentage. Ouachita also closed out with 57 digs, 32 assists, nine blocks and three aces.
The Tigers will now prepare for a road match against Southwestern Oklahoma State next Friday, Oct. 20. The conference match is set to start at 6 p.m. in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
