ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Baptist volleyball team (15-9) swept its competition Tuesday in a tri-match hosted by the Tigers. Ouachita defeated Williams Baptist (9-20) 25-9, 25-17 and 25-14 and Central Baptist (9-18) 25-10, 25-6 and 25-17.
Against Williams Baptist, the Tigers dominated with .358 hitting percentage while holding the Eagles to just a .071 hitting percentage. Ouachita closed out the match with 42 kills, 37 assists, 31 digs, seven aces and four blocks.
Katie Camp led all players with 12 kills while also accumulating one block and one ace.
Adrianna Nolly led the way in blocks with three and
Paige Williams tallied three aces.
Sam Snyder tallied 27 assists, to easily lead all players, and
Nikki Clay finished with a match high 14 digs.
Against Central Baptist, Ouachita improved with a .500 hitting percentage with 48 kills while limiting the Mustangs to 19 kills on a .072 hitting percentage. The Tigers also accumulated 46 assists, 32 digs, eight aces and four blocks.
Anna Lee Drennan finished with a match high 14 kills while
Kori Bullard grabbed 10 kills, three blocks and two aces.
Stormi Leonard led the way in assists (38) and digs (7) and
Nikki Clay led all players with three aces.
The Tigers will now jump back into conference play as it faces Harding next Thursday, Oct. 26. The home match is set to start at 6 p.m.
