Box Score ARKADELPIHA, Ark. – A strong first-half run saw the Ouachita Tigers' men's basketball team fall behind early to Southern Nazarene Saturday afternoon and resulted in a 79-67 loss for the Tigers against the Crimson Storm.
Southern Nazarene went on a 19-2 in the first half which saw Ouachita fall behind by 12 points with 5:40 remaining in the period. While Matt Stanley would convert two free-throws to end the run, the Tigers would never recover from it, trailing by 12 points at halftime and at the end of the game.
Ouachita was led in scoring Saturday by Stanley. The freshman scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Also scoring in double-digits for the Tigers were Mahlon Martin and Wesley Franklin.
Ouachita's next game will be at home against Central Baptist on Thursday evening.
