Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Thanks to a strong first half, the Ouachita Tigers' men's basketball team soundly defeated Oklahoma Baptist Thursday evening by a final score of 82-64.
The Tigers led 48-26 at halftime and performed well in all aspects of their game, particularly in their three-point shooting. Ouachita made seven of 15 three-point attempts in the first half.
Jontavis Willis made three three-pointers, while Mahlon Martin and Isaiah Harper scored two first-half three-pointers each. In the second half, the Tigers let off the gas a bit but could afford to do so thanks to their 22-point halftime lead.
Willis led the Tigers in scoring with 18 points. All five Ouachita starters scored in double-digits, however, as Matt Stanley scored 15 points, and Wesley Franklin, Martin and Harper scored 12 points each.
The Tigers' next game will be against Southern Nazarene on Saturday at 3 p.m.
