ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' baseball team picked up its first conference win in Bethany, Okla. on Friday over Southern Nazarene by a final score of 8-1.

Aaron Studdard led the Tigers from the plate with 3 RBI's.
Jackson Noakes also played well, picking up four hits and an RBI.
John Franklin Matros was the starting pitcher for the game. He pitched seven innings and picked up the win.

The Tigers opened scoring in the second inning with two runs and never looked back. Ouachita scored two more runs in the fourth inning, and then another in the fifth to pick up a 5-0 run. Southern Nazarene scored their only run in bottom of the fifth by stealing home plate, but it was no where close to bringing the Crimson Storm back in the game. The Tigers scored three more runs and won the game 8-1.

Ouachita will finish their series against Southern Nazarene tomorrow, Feb. 25, with a doubleheader at 12 and 3 p.m.
