ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers' baseball team fell to Northwest Missouri State Thursday by a final score of 7-2.
Kyle Alexander went 2-4 with a double and a RBI in the loss.
Kason Kimbrell (0-2) took the loss for Ouachita, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits through six innings pitched.
NW Missouri St. opened scoring with a run in the fourth inning, The Tigers responded with a run in the bottom of the fifth.
Jakahari Howell singled to center field and picked up the RBI. The Tigers fell behind in the fifth inning when they conceded four runs and were never able to come back. They picked up one run when
Kyle Alexander picked up an RBI in the eighth inning with a single to right.
The loss drops the Tigers' record to 0-5 on the season. They will look to respond to the loss on Friday, Feb. 10 in a game against Nebraska-Kearney. The home game will begin at 1 p.m.
