ARKADELPHIA, Ark – The Ouachita Tigers' baseball team (11-21, 8-11 GAC) defeated the 11th ranked Southern Arkansas Muleriders (24-6, 17-2 GAC) Friday afternoon by a final score of 5-0.
 
John Franklin Matros pitched a complete game shutout for the Tigers. He threw six strikeouts and did not walk a single batter in the win. 
Preston Speers led the team from the plate with an eighth-inning home run which drove in two runs.
 
The game was scoreless until the sixth inning, when Ouachita scored three runs. The first and third runs were unearned off of errors and the second was driven in by a 
Jackson Noakes single. The Tigers capped off their scoring in the eight with a two-run home run from Speers.
 
The Tigers will finish their series against the Muleriders tomorrow, April 1, with games at 12 and 3 p.m.
