ARAKDELPHIA, Ark. – The Ouachita Tigers' softball team (13-21, 7-15 GAC) lost both of their games Friday afternoon to the 8th ranked Southern Arkansas Muleriders (29-5, 19-3 GAC). The Tigers lost the first game by a score of 1-6 and the second game by a score of 1-2.
 
Ouachita opened the scoring on the day when 
Natalie Jackson hit a sacrifice fly to left field in the top of the first inning of the first game. Southern Arkansas responded with a run in the bottom of the first inning and a run in the third inning. Four sixth inning runs sealed the game for the Muleriders as they won 6-1. 
Kelsey O'Brien was the starting pitcher in the game and struck out three batters.
 
Ouachita once again opened scoring in the second game by putting in a run in the top of the third inning. 
Macy Nantz singled to left field to drive in Haley Ryburn. Southern Arkansas leveled the score however in the fifth inning. With the game tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Marina Duran hit a walk-off single to win the game for the Muleriders with a final score of 2-1. 
Marissa Butler pitched a complete game for the Tigers in the second game and struck out four batters.
 
The Tigers will finish the series against the Muleriders tomorrow, April 1, with games at 1 and 3 p.m., in Magnolia, Ark.
