ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Ouachita Tigers' men's soccer team opened the 2017 season with a thrilling 1-0 win over the Patriots of Dallas Baptist University. Tinashe Chigede scored the games only goal and Edward Pacheco finished with five saves. 

The Tigers scored in the first half with 14:38 played. Tyler Mouton's header shot banged off the right post. It was corralled by Blaine Hickman who put the ball back in the middle of the box. Chigede dove towards the right side of net and headed the ball into the left bottom corner for his first goal of the season. 

The Tigers' defense held strong for the remainder of the game to getthe shutout victory.
