In the opening set the two squads battled point-for-point until a tie at 22 all changed the momentum. Arkansas Tech (17-11, 10-6 GAC) went up a point after a kill by Hunter Eshnaur, the Tigers responded though with a kill by Nolly to the game at 23 all. Camp served up an ace to give the Tigers set point at 24-23, Nolly made sure that they would not need two as she hammered home her second kill in three points.
Ouachita ran away with the second set, racing out to an 11-3 lead in the opening moments of the set. The Golden Suns attempted to pull themselves back into the match by making it a 14-10 affair, but Ouachita responded with a 3-0 run to put the set out of reach. The Tigers went on to win the set 25-16.
In the third set Ouachita hit lights out recording a .536 hitting percentage in the set. The set was tightly competitive just like the initial opening set. Both teams had used at least one timeout by the 16 all mark in the set. Arkansas Tech called their second timeout down 21-20, the timeout worked in their favor as they scored the tying point. The Tigers then sent their seniors out in style by winning the final four points.
