ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Earlier today the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association announced the 2018 All-Central Region Women's Soccer team; Ouachita Baptist sophomore midfielder
Ashlyn Heckman (Frisco, Texas) has been named to the second team.
"Ashlyn [Heckman] has obviously been a great addition to our program and is very deserving of all post season awards." Ouachita Baptist women's soccer coach
Kevin Wright said, "Ash is a very competitive and talented player. She was dangerous around the goal and was a big part of creating chances for others."
The Great American Conference New Comer of the Year made quite the splash for Ouachita this season. Heckman tied for the team lead in goals scored, assists and led the team in total points (17) and shots (60). The Lone Star State native also scored a pair of game winning goals in route to an All-GAC honorable mention nod.
