Tigers Show Grit but Come Up Short

Eden Crow led Ouachita in the battle with 11 points and nine rebounds. Madison Brittain added 13 points and three steals while Alivia Huell had 12 points and eight rebounds.

The game started with both team trading buckets. A jumper by Madison Raney at the 7:29 mark gave the Lady Tigers a 5-4 lead. Ouachita then allowed the blossoms to go on a 6-0 run before Eden Crow's turn around jumper. Alivia Huell would make a layup to cut the Monticello lead to five before the blossoms hit a last second layup to go up seven into the second.

In the second the Lady Tigers never stopped fighting as the blossoms took a double digit lead. Ouachita would cut it under 10 on an Eden Crow turnaround jumper at 29-20. After the lead getting up to 17 for Monticello Maija Gertsone dropped in two straight layups to cut the blossoms lead. The Tigers, however, went into the half trailing 43-28.
