ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Lady Tigers have three in double digit scoring but can not overcome blossoms in the second half.
Eden Crow led Ouachita in the battle with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Madison Brittain added 13 points and three steals while
Alivia Huell had 12 points and eight rebounds.
The game started with both team trading buckets. A jumper by
Madison Raney at the 7:29 mark gave the Lady Tigers a 5-4 lead. Ouachita then allowed the blossoms to go on a 6-0 run before
Eden Crow's turn around jumper.
Alivia Huell would make a layup to cut the Monticello lead to five before the blossoms hit a last second layup to go up seven into the second.
In the second the Lady Tigers never stopped fighting as the blossoms took a double digit lead. Ouachita would cut it under 10 on an
Eden Crow turnaround jumper at 29-20. After the lead getting up to 17 for Monticello
Maija Gertsone dropped in two straight layups to cut the blossoms lead. The Tigers, however, went into the half trailing 43-28.
The second half brought new life for the Lady Tigers as they rattled off a 6-0 run of their own to pull within nine points. The Tigers then lost steam as Monticello went on a 14-2 run.
Alivia Huell never stopped fighting as she scored six of her points in the quarter.
Rylee Lavender and
Madison Brittain attemped to pull the Tigers back within reach as they combined for three three-pointers in the fourth. Ouachita also continued to be aggressive on the defensive end as
Alivia Huell and
Madison Brittain had steals for the Tigers.
