SHAWNEE, Okla. –
Alivia Huell's double-double not enough as the Lady Tigers drop one to Oklahoma Baptist.
Huell led the Lady Tigers with 18 points and 15 rebounds in the hard fought game.
Madison Brittain also 16 points while
Madison Raney put in 9 points in the 76-64 loss to the Bison.
The first quarter was won by the Lady Tigers as they started hot.
Madison Brittain scored eight of the Lady Tigers's 16 first quarter points including a free throw with two minutes left to give Ouachita the lead.
In the second the Lady Tigers would extend their lead to seven on a
Rylee Lavender three pointer. The Bison would come back and take a six point lead; however, the Lady Tigers would not give up the fight.
Alivia Huell would score seven straight points for Ouachita who trailed by two points at half time.
After the half, the duo of Huell and Brittain carried the Tigers to a three point lead at 36-33. The game would go back and forth before the Bison extended their lead to 10 on a lass second shot at the end of the quarter. In the fourth, the Lady Tigers would only get as close as eight and fall to the Bison on a final of 76-64.
The Lady Tigers return to action on Jan 10 as they face off against Southwestern Oklahoma State at 5:30 in Bill Vining Arena.
