ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Men's Soccer takes down the Harding Bisons at Kluck Field with a score of 1-0.
The Tigers and Bisons were locked into a battle in the first half going into the break with a 0-0 tie. In the early stages of the second half
Matt Heffernan rocketed in a shot off an assist from
Ryan Shaughnessy.
The game became physical in the second half as seven cards were given out in the last 45 minutes. Of those cards Ouachita received four and Harding received three including a red card.
The Tigers saw the Bisons use a break away loft shot over Kelson who dived for a save. As the ball rolled to the goal
Hector Duron tracked down the ball and kicked it out of bounce right before it crossed the goal line allowing the Tigers to keep the lead.
Ouachita hand Hardin were even on shots with 12. However, the Tigers put in 10 shots on goal while the Bisons only shot two.
Matt Heffernan led the Tigers with six shots and six other Ouachita players put in one a piece.
Kyle Kelson started in goal for the Tigers on the day and played the whole 90 minutes of the match. He had one save out of the two shots on goal.
