Arkadelphia Ark. – The Tigers complete team effort led to a big victory over Champion Christian College 80-50.
Allie Freeman and Raymond Harris both came off the bench for the Tigers and led the way with 15 points each while shooting 5-8 from the field. All 13 Tigers contributed in someway to the stat sheet as 12 of them hit at least one bucket.
Ariyon Williams for Champion Christian led all scorers with 19 points on 6-8 shooting.
From the opening tip Ouachita dominated the game. With 16:01 left in the first half, Jacob Street knocked down a three pointer to put the Tigers up 7-4. Ouachita never surrendered the lead as that three-point advantage only grew as the contest went on. The transition game from the Tigers was stellar as they capitalized on 22 points off turnovers in the first half.
The Tigers took a 45-26 lead into halftime.
Ouachita began the second half just as they did the first. The Tigers grew their lead up to 28 on a Xavier Hall alley-oop dunk assisted by Allie Freeman with 6:58 to go. Freeman stayed in the action as he extended the lead out to 70-40 on a three pointer.
The Tigers coasted to victory as they maintained the 30-point advantage for the final few minutes to close out the game on an 80-50 win.
Ouachita climbs above the .500 line as they improve to 5-4.
