Important Battle of the Ravine Tonight

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Battle of the Ravine tonight for the Women's and Men's Basketball teams is one of great importance as the conference tournament and individual milestones are in sight for the Tigers.

The Lady Tigers come off of a gutsy performance as they came back from down 20 to almost tying the game against Harding. They go into the game tonight currently in the 10 place in conference. They are two games out of the eight spot as only the top eight teams reach the conference championships. With only six games remaining on their schedule a win tonight would help the Lady Tigers immensely.

For Ouachita Madison Brittain will have an opportunity to be the first Lady Tiger since Nashia James in 2015 to have 12 consecutive games of double digit scoring.

Brittain is also only 56 points from reaching 900 career points. Alivia Huell is also looking to reach a career points milestone as she is 19 points away from 800 career points.

The Men's team have a great chance to help themselves in the conference standings tonight against Henderson State. The Tigers are riding a two game winning streak after defeating Arkansas Tech and Harding last week. They sit in the eighth spot of the GAC standings and are two games behind the Reddies who are in the seventh spot. A win tonight would tie the season series with Henderson State as the Reddies won earlier in the season.

Mahlon Martin is zeroing in on 1,000 career points as he is only 26 points away from the milestone.

Come out and support your Tigers as they take the trip across the street to face off with the Reddies. The Women tip off at 5:30 PM and the Men at 7:30.
